Level 3 Automated External Defibrillator (1 Day)

This course is regulated by Ofqual and meets the requirements of the HSE. 

A casualties survival rate will dramatically increase if an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is available, and there are trained staff available to use it. 

This course is designed to enable participants to use an AED competently and with confidence. This is a very hands on course, that not only covers the use of an AED but also covers other important First Aid techniques such as resuscitation and choking procedures

Duration

This course has a minimum of six contact hours in the classroom, consisting of both practical and theoretical exercises. It usually takes place over one day, but can be spread over a longer period if required.

Certification

Completion of the course is dependent on ongoing assessment during the course alongside a multiple choice question paper at the end. The qualification is valid for 3 years. To renew your qualification, the full 6 hour course must be repeated.

There are maximum of 12 students per course

Requirements

You must be at least 16 years of age to attend this course. You must also have a reasonable level of fitness and be able to get on the floor and demonstrate CPR to pass the course.
