1-Day Scout First Aid Training Course:
This is a bespoke course designed by TrainFirstAid. It covers all of the First Aid requirements set out by the Scout Associations for the Adult Leader 'First Response Certificate'.
This one day first aid course will teach you everything you need to know about First Aid in a Scouting Environment including Adult and Paediatric CPR, Choking, Defibrillation and Auto Injector training. We will also spend a significant amount of time discussing rules and regulations in Scouting, Medical forms, Accident Reporting and the equipment needed in a Scout First Aid Kit. For more information on Scout First Aid see our Scout advice page.
TFA has a partnership with a number of Scout Districts in London and South East England. We regularly run courses for the Scouts and offer training at a significantly cheaper rate, compared to our normal courses. Our tailored First Aid course for scouts meets all of the requirements for Module 10 of the Scouts Adult Leader training program.
We have designed a course specifically tailored to the needs of the Scouts. It is identical to our Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work course, but also includes a discussion on the following topics which are relevant to activities in the Scouts:
· Reporting Accidents in the Scouts
· Medical Forms
· The use of medication on camps
· Paediatric CPR and Choking
· The Scout first aid kit and equipment
· Heat and Cold
· Bites and Stings
The main advantage of using TFA to supply training for your Scout Leaders is that we offer a course that meets the needs of the Scout Association for the purposes of Module 10 in Adult Leader Training, but also gives participants the option to gain a nationally recognised Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work issued by Train First Aid for no extra work or money!
This additional award is a professional First Aid qualification and can be used in your workplace outside of Scouting, which provides a huge incentive to many leaders. If your workplace requires a regulated certificate through Ofqual we can also offer this for an additional £10 per head - contact us for more details.
£25 Per Head (minimum charge £250 per group)
Price includes all teaching resources including a course handbook. Upon completion of the course, all participants will be issued with their Scouting 'First Response Certificate' and a 'Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work' certificate issued by Train First Aid.
